Laneige Hello Blossom 2022: Laneige Hello Blossom Water Sleeping Mask EX Cherry Blossom and Laneige Hello Blossom! Lip Sleeping Mask EX Cherry Blossom Review

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you might have noticed that I’m not the biggest fan of Laneige products. Yes, their skincare is amazing, but their sleeping masks and lip sleeping mask formulas just don’t do it for me. That being said, I am still willing to give new products a chance since there are some brands out there that I just can’t get on board with. That was the case with the Laneige Hello Blossom Sleeping Mask EX Cherry Blossom. These sleeping masks have been consistently hit or miss for me so I decided to test these out together in an overnight routine before passing final judgement. Aside from my personal preferences, I also believe this brand is overpriced for what you get in return so if you find them at a lower price than usual here are three affordable alternatives:

## What is the Laneige Sleeping Mask EX?

The Laneige Sleeping Mask EX is a sleeping mask that promises to hydrate and nourish the skin. It contains many niacinamide ingredients which are proven to work wonders for skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica, and acai extract which are known for their skin-boosting properties. When it comes to the scent, it’s very fruity. Similar to many Korean beauty brands, the Laneige Sleeping Mask is available in variants (the number of which seems to be increasing by the day) that have different scents. They come in variants like Cherry Blossom, Blossom and Water. The sleeping mask comes in a tube packaging with a dropper dispenser. This makes dispensing the right amount of product a breeze.

## Product Overview and Swatches

The packaging for the Laneige Hello Blossom Sleeping Mask EX is pretty standard. It comes in a dark blue plastic tube with a silver cap that has a dropper. The Sleeping Mask itself is housed in a white plastic jar with a blue lid. The jar has a blue stripe along the middle and is quite fiddly to open. The mask itself is a thick liquid that has a very watery feel to it. It has a very mild and subtle scent. I found the scent quite pleasant and not too overwhelming like many sleeping masks can be. It has a subtle fruity scent that isn’t too strong or overpowering. The product itself absorbs pretty quickly into the skin. After an hour of wear, there is no discernible scent left on the skin.

The Sleeping Mask comes in three variants – Cherry Blossom, Blossom and Water. These variants come with various scents like Cherry Blossom, which is what I have, and Water.

The first swatch is with the Hello Blossom Sleeping Mask EX. The next three swatches are with the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask.

## Why you should buy the Laneige Sleeping Mask?

The biggest selling point of the Laneige Sleeping Mask is the niacinamide ingredients it contains. Niacinamide is a proven skin-renewal ingredient that works to improve skin texture and clarity as well as reducing the appearance of pores. It can also help to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. The hyaluronic acid in the sleeping mask also works to hydrate the skin and plump it up. The centella asiatica and acai extract ingredients in the sleeping mask work to improve skin texture and help to calm skin. Ingredients like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid are proven to work well for skin.

## Why you shouldn’t buy the Laneige Sleeping Mask?

The sleeping mask comes in three variants – Cherry Blossom, Blossom and Water. The Cherry Blossom variant promises to have a subtle fruity scent while the other variants do not have a scent at all. However, the scent of the sleeping mask is very mild and not too strong.

The sleeping mask comes in a tube packaging with a dropper dispenser. While this makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product, it does mean you have to keep dipping the dropper in the jar. If you don’t keep dipping it and the product starts to run out, it is easy for the product to overflow making a mess.

The sleeping mask contains hyaluronic acid which can be an irritant for some skin types.

## Final verdict: Should you buy this sleeping mask?

All in all the Laneige Hello Blossom Sleeping Mask EX Cherry Blossom is a nice sleeping mask that is pretty good at what it promises. This is a skin-renewal product that contains proven ingredients to help to improve your skin and reduce the appearance of pores. The product itself is quite nice to use. It has a light texture that feels very comfortable on the skin. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. The scent is very mild and pleasant and does not fade away after an hour of use. While it does contain proven ingredients, it is also important to keep in mind that it is far from cheap. The value you get for the price you pay is tough to argue with but this is one sleeping mask that you may want to take a look at before buying.
